An Angel Came and Went

My wife and I were standing in line to get a prescription filled for our baby. We didn’t notice anyone around us. When our prescription was filled, the amount we owed was $40. I really struggled. That $40 was to be spent for baby food and other items. Reluctantly, I handed the $40 over to the pharmacist not knowing where the food money was going to come from. But as we were leaving, I felt this tap on my shoulder. A lady said, “Here, take this.” She was handing me two $20 bills. I asked, “What’s this for?” All she said was, “It’s for you. Some day you’ll be able to help someone in need.” She left and I’ve never seen her again, but I’ll never forget what she said, “Someday you will be able to help someone in need.” Every time I see someone in need, I think of that lady and do what I can to help.

How many times do we all have the oportunity to help someone and don't? That's a story that needs to be read over and over again.

Well this brought tears to my eyes. Perhaps those two 20 dollar bills were nothing to the giver, but look how it affected the recipient's life. TO THIS DAY she still tries to pass on those seeds of kindness from so long ago.

Her blessing went far beyond 40 dollars! Her seed of love reached fertile soil. It would be so cool to be able to see just how many people over the years have been touched by her one act of kindness.
