Every summer I get together with my youth group and we go on a mission trip to some area of Oklahoma. Normally you hear about trips going out of the country, but here is the thing. It's not just our church. Teenagers from all over choose to pay money to come and fix up houses for people who need it. It can be something as small as putting a fresh coat of paint on a house, but it makes a huge difference in the life of the homeowners. Sometimes it is a huge job such as lifting a house off the foundation to lay concrete or to roof a house in three days in one hundred and three degree weather.

What these kids do every year is staggering and the fun we have makes it all worth while. I'm glad to be a part of it.
